Security Posture Score

Five weighted pillars — VAPT findings, RASP agents, dark-web exposure on verified domains, phishing-simulation results and your DPDP assessment — combined into one score, with each pillar reported separately so you can see what is driving it.

Posture History

Every recalculation is stored with its full breakdown, so the score has a trend behind it rather than a single point-in-time number.

AI Policy Drafting

Seven policy types generated against your company profile — name, industry, headcount, compliance targets — and versioned on each regeneration. Requires AI access configured on the workspace; without it the generator returns a placeholder rather than a policy.

Multi-client portfolio — roadmap

Not built. The workspace covers one company; there is no client or portfolio model in the product today. If you run a consulting practice, talk to us about the roadmap before you plan around it.

Board pack export — roadmap

Not built. The product does not generate board decks, charts or risk matrices. You can read the score and its breakdown in the dashboard and carry it into your own reporting.

Compliance calendar — roadmap

Not built. There is no deadline tracking for audits, surveillance visits or regulatory milestones in the product today.

How the vCISO AI Copilot works

Profile, run, score, draft — four steps, all inside one company's workspace.

1PROFILE

Set up the company profile — name, industry, headcount, and which frameworks you are working towards. Policy drafting reads this; nothing generates without it.

2RUN

Run Bachao.AI products against your own assets — VAPT scans, RASP agents, domain monitoring, phishing simulation, the DPDP assessment. The score reads those records. There is no importer for third-party scanner output.

3SCORE

The dashboard computes the weighted score across the five pillars and stores the run. A pillar with no data scores zero, so the number reflects coverage as well as posture.

4DRAFT

Generate policy drafts against the profile, edit them, and keep the versions. Review by someone accountable is the step that turns a draft into policy — the product does not do that part.

When you need a vCISO vs a full-time hire

Most Indian startups reach for a vCISO when a specific event forces the decision — a security questionnaire from an enterprise prospect, a DPDP Act obligation with a named deadline, or a board asking for a security posture summary before the term sheet. A full-time CISO makes sense when security needs a named internal owner for vendor negotiations, engineering hiring, or board-level reporting. For most Indian companies under Series B, the work is real but the headcount is premature.

DPDP readiness is a separate engagement

This product does not run a DPDP gap assessment, build a data-processing inventory, or pre-fill a DPIA or Statement of Applicability for you. What it does is read a DPDP assessment you have already completed in Bachao.AI and fold it into the posture score. The assessment and advisory work around it is a scoped consulting engagement with its own deliverables — ask us to price it rather than assuming the copilot covers it.

Board reporting: what you get, and what you build

The dashboard gives you a current posture score, the breakdown behind it, and the history of previous runs. That is the raw material for a board update, and it is where the product stops — there is no generated deck, no chart export, no risk matrix and no white-labelling. If board-pack generation is what you are buying for, it is on the roadmap and not in the build, and we would rather say so now.

What is a vCISO, and is this one?

A vCISO is fractional security leadership — a person who owns the security programme, the policy set and the compliance roadmap without being a full-time hire. The vCISO AI Copilot is the software side of that job: it scores your posture from your own data and drafts your policy set. It is not a person, and it does not put anyone into a named security role for you.

Who is the vCISO AI Copilot for?

A single company that already runs Bachao.AI scans, RASP, domain monitoring, phishing simulation or the DPDP assessment, and wants one score and one policy set across them. It is a single-company workspace — there is no client or portfolio model, so it is not yet a console for a consultant managing several clients.

How is the posture score calculated?

Five weighted pillars: VAPT findings from your latest completed scan (penalised by severity), active RASP agents and whether they have seen events recently, dark-web exposures on domains whose ownership you have verified, phishing-simulation click rates, and your completed DPDP assessment. A pillar with no data scores zero rather than being skipped, so an incomplete picture reads as a lower score — by design.

What do the AI-drafted policies cover?

Seven policy types: acceptable use, password and authentication, incident response, data retention and disposal, vendor risk management, remote work security, and BYOD. Each is written against your company profile and references CERT-In Directions 2022 and DPDP Act 2023 where relevant. They are drafts for your review — not approved policy, and not legal advice.

Can it import findings from other scanners?

No. There is no importer for third-party tool output. The posture score reads your Bachao.AI scan, RASP, domain, training and DPDP records only.

Does this make Bachao.AI our CISO for regulatory purposes?

No. Nothing in this product appoints, names or records an individual as your CISO, DPO or security-function head, and it does not discharge an officer-designation obligation under RBI, SEBI, ISO 27001 or the DPDP Act. If you need a named officer, that is a separate advisory engagement with a named person and a contract — talk to us about scope.

What the vCISO AI Copilot does today

Two things, both in a single-company workspace. First, it computes a weighted security posture score across five pillars — VAPT findings, RASP coverage, dark-web exposure on verified domains, phishing-simulation results and your DPDP assessment — and stores each run so the score carries a trend. Second, it drafts seven security policies against your company profile using AI, versioned each time you regenerate. Everything else described as a vCISO capability elsewhere on the internet — portfolio views, white-label reporting, compliance calendars, board-deck generation — is not in this product.

When you need a vCISO versus a full-time hire

The decision is usually triggered by an event rather than a budget cycle: a first enterprise security questionnaire with nobody to answer it, an unmet DPDP obligation, an investor asking for a security posture summary before a term sheet, or an audit date with no owner. A full-time CISO makes sense once security needs an internal owner for vendor negotiations, engineering hiring and board reporting. For most Indian companies before Series B the work is real but the headcount is premature — which is the gap a fractional engagement fills.

Where a posture score helps, and where it does not

A single weighted score is useful for tracking direction over time and for giving a board one number it can ask questions about. It is not an audit, not a certification, and not evidence of control effectiveness. The score is computed from the records in your own workspace, so it measures what Bachao.AI can see — if you have not run a scan, deployed an agent or verified a domain, that pillar scores zero and the total drops. Read it as a coverage-and-posture indicator, not as an assurance opinion.

Policies are drafts, not approved policy

The policy generator produces a first draft tailored to your industry, headcount and compliance targets, with CERT-In and DPDP references where they apply. It saves time on the blank page; it does not replace review. Someone accountable in your organisation has to read, amend, approve and communicate each policy before it means anything — to an auditor, to a regulator, or to your own staff. Drafts generated here are not legal advice and are not reviewed by counsel.

Multi-client practice support is on the roadmap

We are asked regularly for a console that lets an independent vCISO or a boutique consulting firm run a portfolio of clients from one login — separate risk scores, a shared finding queue, white-labelled output. That is a direction we want to build, and it is not built. Today the data model holds one company per workspace and there is no branding, theming or client-separation layer. If you are planning a practice around it, ask us where it actually stands before you commit — we would rather lose the sale than mis-sell the roadmap.
